Situated to the south of Chambolle, above the "Amoureuses" and next to the Musigny, this so-called "méconnu" place due to its very small surface area does not lack datout to reveal a bouquet of perfume from its youth. This Charme-Chambertin from the domaine Hubert Lignier comes from a 10-acre plot on lieu dit Mazoyères haut, a vineyard planted in 1948.The soil is deeper than Clos de la Roche, composed of clay-limestone, sand. The vineyard is located next to Les Combottes, south of Les Charmes Chambertin. The wines are distinguished by floral fragrances, often elegant and fine, but also retaining a power and length on the palate worthy of a rather charming Grand Cru.
