Le Clos de la Cure du Château de Coulaine is a great white Chinon. Aged in terracotta jars, this Chenin has a soft texture and develops aromas of yellow fruit.Located on the illustrious Véron terroir already sung of by Rabelais, Château de Coulaine is a very old family estate whose winegrowing tradition has never been interrupted since 13.From time immemorial, vines have enjoyed sinking their roots into the land that surrounds Château de Coulaine, rebuilt in the 15th century. In 1988, Étienne de Bonnaventure undertook the expansion of the chateau de Coulaine vineyard, which today covers twelve hectares, farmed organically. The guidebooks speak even better than we doThe property has been in the Bonnaventure family since the Middle Ages.(...) Today, Château de Coulaine produces a brilliant range of organic Chinons that combine fresh fruit and textural elegance. Vintages do not erase the expression of terroir. Since January 217, Jean, son of Etienne and Pascele, has been at the helm of the estate: "Château de Coulaine has several cuvées worthy of interest, the first of which, called Château de Coulaine, is already an excellent wine. Cuvée Les Picasses is very explosive, broad and fruity: it plays on the gourmet register.Clos de Turpenay is another cuvée from Château de Coulaine. A finer wine, with notes of spices (pepper and cloves). La Diablesse is the most virile and animal of all cuvées from château de Coulaine. The Château de Coulaine also produces some excellent whites: pieds rotis, a fruity and exotic 1% chenin white, with a few grams of residual sugar in some vintages. The Chinon from Château de Coulaine is superb: long, complex, fat, it's a superb organic gourmet wine.
