Domaine Ogereau - Savennières - Le Saponaire 2023

La Cuisine de ma mère du domaine Grosbois is a Chinon, made from young vines planted on a gravel terroir. After destemming and maceration for two weeks, the wine is aged for 8 months in vats. This organic Chinon is well-balanced, with lovely intense fruit and a tangy finish; all resting on fine tannins.

This cuvée domaine du Château Combel La Serre is without doubt the most classic Cahors in the range. Racy, powerful and structured, it sets a fine benchmark in the Cahors AOC. Excellent value for money.

La Part des Anges du domaine de la Noblaie is a gourmet white Chinon. Aged in casks, this organic wine features woody, exotic fruit and citrus notes. Superb length. A botrytized but dry Chenin, aged in 5 barrels directly after pressing. Superb!

Villafranchien du Conte des Floris is a red Languedoc made from predominantly Grenache grapes. This organic wine is round and greedy, developing on notes of black and red fruits (crushed strawberries) and licorice. Magnificent overall balance.

The Chenin du domaine Ogereau is a superb white Anjou marked on the nose by notes of lime blossom and white fruit. On the palate, the wine is straightforward, lively and endowed with plenty of sparkle.

En Chenin 2025 is the flagship wine of the Domaine Ogereau dry wine—"precise and generous, grounded in its subtle bitterness," according to the RVF.

The color is pale yellow with green highlights. The nose is intense with notes of Granny Smith apple, white flowers, linden, and citrus. The palate is rich and fresh, straightforward and lively; the well-controlled bitterness provides structure and length, and the finish is mouth-watering and persistent. Serve between 12 and 14 °C.

100% organic, biodynamic Chenin Blanc from the gray schist soils of Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay. 

RVF star rating. Pairs well with seafood, fish, and poultry. Aging potential: 5–8 years.
