L'enfant is the second wine of the Château Mille Roses in the Haut-médoc appellation, all suppleness and gourmandise. Depending on the year, 80% to 90% Merlot and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon. We fell under the spell of this Marty cuvée from the domaine de Laougué. The nose develops notes of ripe stewed fruit, cherry, plum, nuanced by remarkably well-balanced spicy notes. The palate is full-bodied and well-coated, lined with lovely ripe fruit and silky, mellow tannins. The roasted notes brought on by barrel ageing blend harmoniously with the red fruit notes.
