The Gevrey-Chambertin les Racines du Temps de René Bouvier is a superb Gevrey on the great 2020 vintage. It develops a lovely bouquet of red and black fruits, resting on fine tannins. The wine is harmonious and refined, with a fresh, graceful finish! Bernard Bouvier admits: "When I have to choose just one wine to represent the Domaine, I choose Les Racines du Temps...". The perfect face that reflects the physiognomy of the Domaine, the vines have been drawing inspiration from the depths of the earth for nearly a century to give birth to a round, silky, refreshing bottle! These three parcels, located north-south of the village on the edge of the 1ers Crus, produce small yields (30 hectoliters/ha on average) given the age of the vines. The wines are often colorful and fleshy, with good density. You'll need to wait a few years to fully appreciate them. They can also be kept for over 20 years.
