Pierre de Tuf is a cuvée from domaine de la Noblaie that's built for cellaring. An exceptional Chinon with black fruit aromas and toasty notes. The domaine de La Noblaie was part, a few hundred years ago, of a polyculture complex where the land surrounding the estate was already reserved for the cultivation of vines, as shown on the Cassini map of 1765. Wine presses, cellars and vats carved out of the tufa rock bear witness to these bygone days. The ancient cultivation of vines has given its name to our hamlet: "Le Vau Breton" which, in Rabelaisian parlance, means "Valley of Cabernet Franc", the unique grape variety of Chinon's red wine. The wines of the domaine de La Noblaie are characterized by beautiful precision, soft tannins and lots of gourmandise. Beautiful, easy-to-pair bottles.Guide des Vins Bettane et Desseauve 2019: 3 stars
