The Fergaria cuvée from the Domaine de Cébène has delicate smoky aromas that hint at the best that Mourvèdre can give on this schist terroir, with fruitiness that's not overly exuberant. Aromas of fruit (raspberry, blackcurrant), sweet, bewitching spices and hints of garrigue follow through on a smooth, silky palate. The whole is a prodigy of balance. The Clos du Papillon parcel from the domaine de Closel is an organic Savennières, with a very fine texture: it combines volume on the palate and minerality, with a long, persistent finish.
