La Brulade du domaine de la Bégude has a dense color indicative of high concentration. The nose is complex, with spicy notes topped by hints of garrigue and black pepper. As it ages, La Brulade develops highly complex tertiary aromas of leather, menthol, blond tobacco and wild sloe. The palate is highly structured, with a lovely grain of tannin, and finishes beautifully with remarkable length and minerality.

Petraea champagne is made according to a principle similar to that of Solera: each year, 25% of the last harvest is added.
