The vines are located in the commune of Chablis, on the left bank of the Serein with excellent south/southeast exposure. This cuvée is made up of the sub-climates épinottes, châtains and roncières. The soil consists of Kimmeridgian marl-limestone (Upper Jurassic), typical of the Chablis region. This soil is very rich in marine fossils, in particular Exogyra virgula, a small oyster typical of Chablisian soils.The Premier Cru is a coup de coeur: a racy, complex, fresh wine. On the palate, the attack is lively and fresh, with a mineral texture that lends the wine a fine length on the finish.

The fixin du domaine Jean Fournier is very successful: in this very northern appellation of the Côte de Nuits, Jean Fournier produces a powerful, characterful wine with good cellaring potential. It develops notes of red and black fruit, with a slightly spicy finish. Great value for money!
