Château Dufort-Vivens

Chateau Durfort-Vivens is a winery located in the Bordeaux region of France. It is located in the Margaux appellation, on the left bank of the Garonne River.

Chateau Durfort-Vivens has a long history dating back to the 17th century. It was classified as a Third Grand Cru in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. Château Durfort-Vivens has undergone several changes of ownership over the centuries. It was purchased in 2001 by the Lurton and Moulin families.

The estate has vineyards well situated in the Margaux appellation, and the main grape varieties grown are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. These grape varieties are typical of the Margaux region. The Chateau is farmed organically. Château Durfort-Vivens wines are made using traditional winemaking methods. The Chateau pays particular attention to grape quality, vinification and oak barrel ageing.

The wines produced by Château Durfort-Vivens are renowned for their elegance, finesse and complexity. They often reflect the characteristics of the Margaux terroir, with black fruit aromas, silky tannins and a balanced structure.
