The 2019 Château Fonroque is a great success. This organic Saint-Emilion wine is very elegant, with a silkiness and freshness that have become rare in Saint-Emilion. Keep for 5-7 years or drink after decanting for 2 hours.The Château Fonroque, a twenty-hectare estate, has been run by Alain Moueix since 2000. Thanks to his training as an engineer-nologist, and enriched by wine-growing experience in France and abroad, he made the well-considered choice to go organic for Château Fonroque, back in 2002. Inspection for certification began in 2003, at the same time as a gradual switch to biodynamic viticulture. Since then, this grand cru has steadily progressed in quality while maintaining very wise prices.
