Powerful, racy and firm, the Haitza cuvée from domaine Arretxea is a great Irouleguy for laying down. The wine is based on a fine proportion of tannat, which helps it to stand the test of time. An ideal accompaniment to red meats, game and dishes in sauce. The domaine Arretxea is located in the commune of Irouléguy. Spearheading the appellation, it produces wines far removed from the image one might have of the region: the tannins are melted, the fruit clean and greedy, and the wines worked to pass the years while gaining in majesty. The domaine Arretxea is one of the South-West's finest! Production is limited, so some cuvées are rare and availability is not guaranteed all year round.
