The Domaine de la Verpaille is a family winery located in the southern Burgundy region of France. This estate produces top-quality white Bougognes from Chardonnay grapes grown on the Viré-Clessé Terroir. Domaine de la Verpaille's vineyards are located on limestone and clay-limestone soils, which give the wines their fruity, mineral character. Domaine de la Verpaille wines are characterized by elegance, finesse and fruitiness. The Viré-clessé wines are elegant and mineral, with notes of white fruit and flint. The Macon-Village and white Burgundies from Domaine de la Verpaille are more round and delicious. The domaine is run by Estelle and Baptiste Philippe, who have been perpetuating traditional and organic viticulture for 5 generations, with Label AB since 2006.
