The vines are located in the commune of Chablis, on the left bank of the Serein river with a south-south-east exposure in the climat des Pargues.The soil is clay-limestone of the Kimmeridgian and upper Portlandian stages. This Chablis is taut, racy and elegant. A first-rate introduction to the estate's excellent wines. What a great wine this Puligny-Montrachet les Champs Canet du domaine Jean-Marc Boillot is. The nose is very elegant, perfumed with citrus and just a hint of mango. The palate has a spicy, saline dynamic. This is a bewitching Puligny, rich, concentrated, with a chiseled texture. Floral and ripe fruit on the nose, pure orchard fruit on the palate, supported by a subtle vanilla woodiness. Clean freshness on the finish, and good persistence.
The Maranges La Rue des Pierres from domaine Elodie Roy has a pretty, fairly intense red color. The nose develops notes of cherry and crushed strawberry, with a hint of spice. The palate is fleshy, silky and has good length.
