Domaine François Villard belongs to the elite of Rhône Valley wines. A former chef, François Villard, who has decided to manage his vineyard using certified organic farming methods since 2019, produces wines from the northern Rhône Valley that are more focused on finesse. Here, the emphasis is not on opulence, but on good ripeness without heaviness, creating wines with length and uprightness, while respecting the fruit. The nose is very open on opening, developing notes of black fruit. The palate is complex, with hints of fruit and spice, underpinned by supple, round, high-quality tannins.
