Description

The Clos Michet parcel cuvée from Domaine de la Taille aux Loupsis made exclusively from grapes harvested during a second pass through the vines, which Domaine de la Taille aux Loups has allowed to mature for longer. A Montlouis for laying down, with more body than the Cuvée Rémus. Domaine de la Taille aux Loups is located on the banks of the Loire and Cher rivers, on south-facing limestone slopes. The estate extends over 25 hectares of very old Chenin vines, enabling us to produce sparkling, dry, semi-dry, sweet and sometimes sweet wines in Vouvray and Montlouis-sur-Loire, with perfect respect for the vintage. The Domaine de la Taille aux Loups has been in organic conversion since 2012. The domaine is recognized as one of the very best in the Loire, with the Guide Bettane et Dessauve awarding it the maximum rating of 5 stars. Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2019: "Careful and elegant, the dry whites have gradually refined and now achieve a brilliance and depth that perfectly respect the terroirs. (...) The wines know how to age gracefully.

The Cuvée Rémus from Domaine de la Taille aux Loups has a lovely nose of white-fleshed fruit (peach, apricot) and flowers (acacia). The chenin in this organic Montlouis is taut, lively and elegant on the palate. Yellow fruits such as mirabelle plum are present, with a lovely greediness. Long finish for this magnificent cuvée Remus de la taille aux loups. Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2022 : 90/100
