Juveniles is a recent cuvée from Château du Cèdre. This organic wine is made from the estate's young vines. It's made with immediate pleasure in mind, with bright fruit and very soft tannins. Château du Cèdre enjoyed a meteoric rise in the '9s to become the benchmark for Cahors wines, thanks to the uncompromising work of the Verhaeghe brothers. The 25-hectare estate is planted mainly with red grape varieties, including 8% Malbec, 1% Merlot and 1% Tannat. Château du Cèdre follows the principles of "lutte raisonnée" and has begun a conversion to organic farming: the soil is worked entirely mechanically, and the use of weedkillers is banned.
