Domaine de la Bergerie's cuvée Métamorphisme is a free, contemporary interpretation of pineau d'aunis, a historic Loire grape variety, long confidential, now rediscovered for its singular aromatic expression and ability to produce wines of character with finesse. The vines are planted on Loire Valley terroirs carefully selected for their ability to reveal the typical characteristics of Pineau d'Aunis. Domaine de la Bergerie uses organic farming methods, paying particular attention to soil vitality, vine balance and respect for natural cycles. Yields are controlled to preserve aromatic concentration without seeking power.

Winemaking favors minimal intervention, with gentle extractions designed to preserve the delicacy of the grape variety. Pineau d'Aunis is vinified in a spirit of transparency, without artifice, to allow its natural spicy aromas and supple texture to express themselves. Aging is deliberately discreet, with no woody overtones, to preserve the wine's freshness and clarity.

On tasting, Métamorphisme boasts an original, expressive nose, blending crisp red fruit, white pepper, pink berries and a light floral touch. The palate is fluid and slender, supported by fine acidity and very supple tannins. The whole offers a delicate balance, with a fresh, spicy finish, typical of pineau d'aunis.
