Description

This blanc sec from domaine Vincent Careme is a pretty Loire bottle. It develops fruity notes typical of the Chenin grape from which it is made. Vincent Carême is a young winemaker who cut his teeth in South Africa. He settled in Vouvray in 1999 and owns five hectares of vines. Respectful of nature and his terroir, Vincent's aim is to produce straightforward, pure wines. One of the favorites of the selection. Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2019, domaine 1 étoile (out of 3): "the meticulous organic work enables us to obtain healthy grapes that shine in the cellar. This forty-something tends towards increasingly dry wines, but his little moriers and tenders energetically integrate residual sugars, offering saline, sapid whites. The cursor is pushed even further with the start of biodynamic treatments; ageing in old barrels is increasingly precise."
