Domaine de Cebene

The Domaine de Cébène in a few words...

The domaine de Cébène is a real nugget nestled in the superb terroir of Faugères. Brigitte Chevalier acquired a few acres of vines on amazing terroirs in the Languedoc region in 2007.

20 km from the Mediterranean, her first vines take root deep in a unique grand terroir of marine and villafranchian sediments.

The other vineyard is perched on the north-facing schist balconies at the highest point of the Faugères appellation. A judicious choice of this great schist terroir, combined with very limited yields and his work in the service of freshness in the wines.

"I want to make Northern wines in the South of France", she says. From the very first vintage, the style and delicacy of her uniquely profiled wines have conquered the finest tables, proof of her talent for magnifying the expressions of her vineyard. A favorite discovery.

The Guides say it best!

Jancis Robinson, MW, recognized expert of the World of Great Wines awards the Felgaria 2011 cuvée the Best Score in Languedoc Roussillon.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2019 about Domaine de Cébène: "A woman of wine but a neo-winemaker, Brigitte Chevalier undeniably possesses ambition, a vista , a sense of northern elegance that she wants to give to her wines. By choosing high-altitude vines, mostly with northern exposure, and then digging a cellar buried under schist in the middle of the vines, she has given herself the means to achieve her ambitions. The estate is now part of the Faugères elite."
