Domaine de la Bergerie - Anjou - La Cerisaie 2023

Chante Coucou 2022 from domaine Elian Da Ros is a sure bet in this vintage. The wine has a beautiful structure and develops on notes of red fruits, spices, licorice. Superb length. Cuvée Chante coucou is the estate's emblematic cuvée, the one that has made this estate one of the finest in the South-West.

Very pretty Gamay from Domaine de l'Octavie! On the nose, this wine develops notes of red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry) and pepper on a mineral background. On the palate, it's lively, supple, fresh and fruity. The finish lingers on an elegant hint of pepper.

The domaine des fées is run by Carole and Fabrice Martinez, members of the Estézargues winery. The first vintage of Domaine des Fées is 2009. This organic wine, made from Syrah and Grenache grapes, proves to be powerful, developing notes of black fruit and garrigue. A favorite at an affordable price.

L'atout du Pique du domaine Pique-Basse is a cuvée from a single 45-year-old plot of white Grenache, very rare in a "roaixois" landscape dominated by red wines, located below the Ventraben massif lieu dit les crottes. This 100% Grenache blanc develops notes of sun-kissed fruit, followed by a remarkable balance between mellowness and freshness, finishing with a citrus/fennel duo. A gastronomic white!

The cuvée les Zerzilles du domaine de la Bergerie is one of the estate's more aromatic and expressive wines. This grand chenin de gastronomie is ample; it has a supple texture on the palate, without losing any of its usual complexity and edge. It develops on complex notes of yellow fruit, hawthorn and aniseed. Great length.

Sous la Tonnelle du domaine de la Bergerie is a magnificent, lively, straightforward Anjou. This organic chenin is balanced between a liveliness (tart candy aromas) and a sweetness brought by aniseed notes. Superb as an aperitif, it's also at home with white fish and goat's cheese.

Les Pierres Girards du domaine de la Bergerie is a cuvée made from 50-year-old Chenin vines. This organic white Anjou develops notes of ripe fruit (peach, apricot) and citrus... On the palate, the suppleness brought by the clay and the liveliness balance each other out. Very good length for this gastronomic wine.

The Cabernet d'anjou les Buissons du domaine de la Bergerie is a greedy, comely wine. It develops on notes of red fruits and sweets. This organic wine also reveals a lovely roundness supported by its residual sugars. Superb with a red fruit dessert.
