A blend of Riesling and Pinot, it combines the structure of Pinot with the straightforwardness of Riesling. The domaine Marcel Deiss is one of Alsace's most renowned estates. Jean-Michel Deiss has chosen to highlight the terroirs of Alsace through planted vines. No single-varietal cuvées here, then, but blends of grape varieties from a very specific terroir. It's an original approach, but a convincing one when you taste the wines of Domaine Marcel Deiss. The estate is organically farmed. It's one of the region's great references. Antonin et Louis du Mas de la Seranne has a complex nose with notes of leather, but also fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry) and spices (pepper, cinnamon). The palate is fleshy and elegant. The tannins of this great Languedoc organic wine are harmonious and supple, supported by a long, fresh, mentholated finish. Magnificent bottle
