The Clos des Grives 2022 from Domaine Combierpossesses superb balance. In this very attractive vintage, this long, complex and deep organic wine is one of the appellation's best representatives. It will require a few years to find balance and complexity. A vintage to be enjoyed over 7 to 10 years!
The Cuvée Rémus from Domaine de la Taille aux Loups has a lovely nose of white-fleshed fruit (peach, apricot) and flowers (acacia). The chenin in this organic Montlouis is taut, lively and elegant on the palate. Yellow fruits such as mirabelle plum are present, with a lovely greediness. The wine is fuller and more complex than a simple Riesling St Hippolyte; the material is more subtle and bounces back with little acidic, tonic twitches.
