The Château de Caraguilhes is a superb Corbières estate protected by 5 hectares of garrigue, constituting a rich ecosystem and a unique environment. Situated some 3 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea at altitudes ranging from 1 to 18 meters, the Caraguilhes vineyard is exposed to a north-westerly wind (the Tramontane) that naturally sanitizes the vines by limiting fungal diseases and the density of insect pests. This wind also induces ambient coolness in the vineyard during hot summer days, helping to maintain good levels of acidity in the grapes and ensure slower, more complete ripening. The Château de Caraguilhes has been organic since 1992 to best assert its terroir and produce wines with strong personality. A great success story!
