The Cuvée Camille du domaine Marcel Lapierre comes from an old parcel on the Côte du Py. This cuvée was born when Camille Lapierre (Marcel's daughter) returned to the domaine, but it's also a nod to her grandfather Camille (Marcel's father). A Morgon of great elegance and character. A great natural Morgon.
The cuvée saint-Urbain rouge from domaine Jean Fournier is a lovely Marsannay on the finesse side. This organic Burgundy wine has lovely volume on the palate and a lovely sweetness. An ideal introduction to Côte de Nuits wines. The 2022 vintage is very successful, with expressive fruit! Great value for money!
The Mercurey les Buissières du domaine Gouffier has a flowery nose of honeysuckle and boxwood. On the palate, this chiselled wine develops on notes of dry apricot and gives way to a salivating finish. A lovely gourmet wine.
The Cuvée Rémus from Domaine de la Taille aux Loups has a lovely nose of white-fleshed fruit (peach, apricot) and flowers (acacia). The chenin in this organic Montlouis is taut, lively and elegant on the palate. Yellow fruits such as mirabelle plum are present, with a lovely greediness. The Santenay 1er cru les Gravières from domaine Elodie Roy is a Santenay for laying down. The nose is expressive with notes of blackcurrant and spices. The palate is structured, with noble tannins. Superb length!
