Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2019, domaine 2 étoiles : For many years, Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues Goisot, and now their son Guilhem, have impressed us with the quality of their unfailingly consistent production. Admittedly, they only vinify wines from the regional Burgundy appellation, but with such exacting standards that these modest cuvées achieve very high quality. To achieve this, they work long and hard to obtain the finest grapes (certified biodynamic), which they then carefully vinify. The beautiful chalky terroirs of the Côtes d'Auxerre are equally well suited to Sauvignon (Saint-Bris) and Chardonnay, but often produce wines that are too thin due to excessive yields. At Goisot, it's the other way round: the intensity and staying power of most of our wines make them worthy of being cited as examples.
