It will go well with a lovely goat's cheese platter. The Mas d'Espanet is a twenty-hectare wine estate located in Saint-Mamet-du-Gard. Run by Agnès and Denys Armand, the estate uses biodynamic farming methods. As the terroir is fairly cool (close to a large 8-hectare wood), the wines of Mas d'Espanet possess excellent balance. As the prices of the Freesia cuvées, their entry-level wines, are very attractive, this is a profit. Agnès and Denys Armand use biodynamic viticulture in a wild environment, on the edge of a vast wood of over 8 hectares. It's a very cool terroir, which explains why half the production is devoted to whites."

A l'ombre du Figuier, the small cuvée from Mas de la Seranne , is a superb cuvée full of fruit. It develops on notes of red fruit (cherry), licorice stick, with a blackberry finish. Excellent value for money.
The "Clos de la Févrie" from the domaine de la Haute Févrie is a cuvée made from very old vines planted on the estate's best terroirs. The oldest vines were planted in 1922 on the Coteaux de la Sèvre. This is a Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie with a very powerful, generous body, extravert in flavor. The finish with lovely ripe bitters and praline nuances is particularly promising.
